GPS Anti Stalking Law in Full Effect
There is a state bill that is pending to be signed into law in New York, that will make it illegal for a person to install a GPS tracking device on a persons vehicle without their knowledge. This bill is known as Jackie’s Law, and is aimed to protect people from domestic abuse. Just like every technology device that comes along, there are people that will turn it around and use it in order to harm others.
GPS tracking devices are meant to help prevent people from getting lost, keep track of vehicles and other items thus preventing theft, and or to collect information that will benefit a company in making adjustments in order to help maximize profits. GPS tracking devices are not meant to be used to inflict malicious intent but rather help people and businesses alike in providing an additional safety measure and or to collect valuable information for beneficial use.
